Bellamy's Reserve Rum
This exotic Jamaica Blend is a permanently available quality. It was allowed to be stored for 3 months in barrels that had already housed exceptional rums before. The basis is a blend of rums from the jamaican distilleries Clarendon and Longpond.
My tropical treasure always matures in barrels that have already been used for the finish of a Bellamy’s Reserve Rum quality. It is neither sugared nor does it contain any colourings.
Nose: exotic fruit, memorable pineapple
Palate: lots of pineapple paired with oak wood
Finish: fruity and slightly dry
Bellamy’s Reserve Rum primarily stands for exceptional single cask rums and exciting cask finishes. The base of the Bellamy’s Reserve Rum 12 YO is a rum from the La Cabaña distillery in El Salvador which receives its finish in former sherry casks.
Since this rum is not non chill-filtered, the Bellamy’s Reserve Rum 12 Years Old may be cloudy.
The result is a perfectly balanced double-aged rum which combines the spices and fruit notes of the base rum with the sweetness of Pedro Ximénez sherry. The amber-colored rum has a wonderfully soft mouthfeel with the well-balanced aromas lingering on the tongue.
Nose: subtle sherry, dried fruits, plum, lychee, spices
Palate: dried fruits, sherry, spicy wood
Finish: medium with sweet fruits and sherry
This quality is a blend of full-bodied Barbados rum, fruity rum from Jamaica and an extremely mild drop from the Dominican Republic. It was finished for 8 months in an ex-rye barrel and is now perfectly balanced. The blended rums are between 5 and 12 years old.
The Bellamy’s Reserve Rum Rye Cask Finish tastes slightly spicy, delights with aromas of coconut, almonds and marzipan. The rum is powerful as well as complex.
Nose: coconut, almonds and marzipan
Palate: slightly spicy, subtle notes of marzipan and a hint of nut
Finish: medium length with a little spice
